From Military Modelling - Vol 31 No.2 2001 (UK)
Latest waterslide type decal sheets fron Fingerprint Designs cover British 7th (FPD 35/006),
11th (35/007) and Guards (35/008) armoured divisions Europe 1944-45 in 1:35 and 1:76
scales. The 1:76 scale sheet (76/009) has
all three divisions' markings plus vehicle numbers
and other legends like 'Caution Left Hand Drive'. Each 1:35 scale sheet has the divisional
marking and variations of it, size, form etc., and one set of arm-of-service colour squares
with numbers to go on them
and these are interchangeable between the sheets. There's also
bridging plates, data panels and various stencilled legends, red crosses and police signs, plus
characters to make up vehicle numbers and even some shoulder flashes for uniforms.

Nicely printed, very useful, and reasonably priced too.

From Military Modelcraft International  -  February 2001  (UK)
If you don't know this name (Fingerprint Designs) it's about time you did! This is the name of a home-grown producer of 1/35 and 1/76 waterslide decal sheets and they currently produce a range of German Crosses and American registration letters/numbers. Their latest three releases are all to 1/35 scale (we also do a fourth in 1/76) and this time concentrate on World War Two British subjects. The sets cover the British Guards Armoured Divisions, the 7th and 11th Armoured Divisions as used in the years 1944-45. Each sheet has a complete range of markings as used by these Divisions and each has sufficient decals for lots of vehicles. I particularly liked the Guards sheet as it includes some red crosses for ambulance vehicles.

From Military Miniatures in Review (US)
These guys cropped up recently offering a pretty spiffin line of
waterslide decals. Here is the latest we've seen.
FPD 35/005W
,
U.S. 1st Armored Division North Africa 1942-43
, sheet contains
stars from 4 inches to 60 inches, turret stripes, Unit Tactical Signs
and platoon numbers in white;
FPD 35/005Y, U.S. 1st Armored
Division North Africa 1942-43
, sheet contains stars.............in
yellow. Possibly
the first time these stars and markings have been
offered in yellow.

From Boresight - July 1999  (US)    "Downrange" product reviews by Frank De Sisto

This latest group of releases from this manufacturer consists of 18 sheets which can be used interchangeably
(within the same scale) to depict the standard German tactical numbers as seen throughout most of WWII.
Solid numbers come in black, white, red and yellow, while the outlines are in black and white. By combining
the solids and the outlines, various styles of number can be depicted.
I was especially pleased to see these sets because there really are not many generic number sets on the market; certainly none with such adaptability. For instance, I have hundreds of kit and after-market sheets in my collection but only a small hand-full contain roman numerals and other commonly used letters such as A, N, R, & S.............Of course the smaller numbers can also be used in the larger scales to depict the number sizes seen on a particular vehicle. These fine quality sheets feature an extremely thin carrier film and crisp, clean printing .........Highly recommended.

From  Military Modelling (GB) - Vol 28/8
'Small Scale Scene' by Robin Buckland
Fingerprint Designs are a new producer of 1:35
decals whose first release is
a very original idea
designed to provide the stencils for the interior
of German WWII AFVs. The sheet is specifically
aimed at the Academy model of the Tiger I, with
its interior detail although
enough is provided to
do more than just the one model
.
I don't know how popular these will eventually be
but I hope they are because it will encourage more.

Full marks for originality
with the first release.......

From Military Modelling  (GB) - Vol 28/1    'Atten-Shun' product reviews by Ken Jones
A very useful set of decals (Sheet 35/001) for marking the interiors of 1:35 German WWII AFVs has been produced by Fingerprint Designs, a new name to our column.
The decals are produced in black or white for use on ivory, tan, panzer or field grey.
The lettering is tiny, but readable under a glass and will be a godsend for those who like to include everything. Produced for the Academy kit's Tiger I interior the decals can be used for most German AFVs, especially the open-topped vehicles where they will come into their own for maximum visual effect. ................Eight solid and eight outline crosses are also provided in two sizes on the sheet.
A little bit of guidance as to placement........would not have gone amiss here; granted some are fairly self-explanatory. However, reference sources are provided and anyone detailing a vehicle to the 'enth degree', I suppose, will be assumed to have the appropriate illustrations and reference.........
Obviously more sheets will be produced if the first release takes off,
so treat yourself to a sheet or two and put the show on the road........
